Senior lecturer:
Doctoral degree or its equivalent in data science or pure mathematics. At least 5 years teaching experience at tertiary institutions. At least 5 publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals. Evidence of supervision of 5 postgraduate students at least at Honours level.
Lecturer:
Master's degree or its equivalent in data science. At least 3 years teaching experience at tertiary institutions.
Duties:
Teaching and mentoring. Compilation of teaching portfolio (e.g. teaching outcomes, teaching methodology and assessment of students) Curriculum development and review. Application of appropriate teaching approach/methods and rationale. Participate in research seminars. Manuscript writing, attendance of conference proceedings. Supervision of honours, master's and doctoral research projects. Participation in community-based projects. * Resource mobilization for community projects.
