Job Requirements
For appointment at Senior Lecturer level:

• A PhD in History of Education, Philosophy of Education, or Sociology of Education.

• A minimum of five years' teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or at least seven years of professional experience in a relevant field.

• A proven academic record with at least five publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals.

• Experience in postgraduate supervision will be considered an advantage.

• Strong administrative capabilities and the ability to manage workload effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and inspiring teaching that stimulates student learning.

Duties:

• Teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

• Supervise Honours, Master's, and Doctoral students.

• Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement within the department.

• Publish scholarly work in accredited academic journals.

• Participate in community engagement initiatives.

• Deliver instruction using E-learning platforms and digital resources.

For appointment at Lecturer level:

• A Master's degree in History of Education, Philosophy of Education, or Sociology of Education.

• At least three years of teaching experience at tertiary level, or five years of professional experience in a related field.

• Publications in peer-reviewed or non-peer-reviewed journals will be considered an advantage.

Duties:

• Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

• Supervise Honours and Master's students.

• Support the development and refinement of the curriculum.

• Contribute to academic publishing in accredited journals.

• Engage in community outreach and development.

• Utilize online teaching tools and platforms for course delivery.

For appointment at Junior Lecturer level

• An Honours degree in History of Education, Philosophy of Education, or Sociology of Education.

Duties:

• Deliver instruction to undergraduate students.

• Assist in the design and improvement of departmental curriculum.
