Job Summary

The Senior Lash and Nail Technician is a cornerstone of our beauty team, responsible for performing a full range of high-quality lash and nail services. This role requires an expert artist with advanced technical skills, a passion for client satisfaction, and the ability to mentor junior technicians. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader, a trendsetter in lash and nail art, and a key player in maintaining our salon's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Advanced Technical Services:

Lash Services:

Expertly apply classic, hybrid, volume, and mega-volume eyelash extensions. Perform lash lifts, tints, and safe extension removal.

Nail Services:

Perform a comprehensive range of nail treatments, including classic and spa manicures/pedicures, gel/shellac applications, structured gel manicures, acrylics, dip powder, and hard gel extensions.

Nail Artistry:

Design and execute intricate, creative, and on-trend nail art, from simple designs to complex, hand-painted masterpieces.

Health & Safety:

Adhere to and enforce the highest standards of sanitation, disinfection, and safety protocols as required by the state board and salon policies.

2. Client Consultation & Care:

Conduct thorough consultations to assess client needs, preferences, and suitability for various services, considering nail health and lash integrity. Educate clients on proper aftercare and recommend retail products to maintain the longevity and health of their lashes and nails. Build and maintain a loyal client base through exceptional service, personalized attention, and relationship building. Manage client appointments, maintain detailed client records, and handle client concerns with professionalism and grace.

3. Leadership & Mentorship:

Act as a mentor and role model for junior lash and nail technicians, providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback on techniques and client service. Assist the Salon Manager in developing new service protocols and training materials. Lead by example in professionalism, punctuality, and work ethic. Stay current with industry trends, new products, and advanced techniques, and share this knowledge with the team.

4. Salon Operations:

Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation. Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and notifying management of supply needs. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. Participate in salon marketing initiatives, such as creating content for social media (e.g., photos/videos of your work).

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma:

Beauty Therapy/Somatology or Nail Technology certificate or diploma.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience as a Lash and Nail Technician. A strong, diverse, and professional portfolio showcasing high-quality lash extension work and intricate nail art is required.

Technical Skills:

Mastery of multiple lash extension techniques (Classic, Volume, etc.). Proficiency in all modern nail enhancement systems (Gel, Acrylic, Dip, etc.). Demonstrated artistic talent and a keen eye for detail, symmetry, and design.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others. Strong time-management skills and ability to handle a busy schedule. A client-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service. Professional demeanor and polished appearance.
