PBT Group is seeking an experienced Senior Java & React Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate is a full-stack developer who combines strong backend development expertise in Java (Spring Boot) with solid frontend experience using React.js.


You'll be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience. The role is best suited for someone passionate about clean code, software craftsmanship, and continuous improvement within an agile, fast-moving delivery environment.



Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and React.js. Participate in the full software development lifecycle -- from technical analysis and design to coding, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BAs, testers, DevOps, and UX/UI designers. Implement RESTful APIs and integrate frontend and backend services securely and efficiently. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to technical innovation within the team.


Required Qualifications and Experience

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 6+ years' experience in Java development, including Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and RESTful APIs. 2+ years' experience working with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control. Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.). Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is advantageous. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
