Job Summary Area: Roodepoort Salary: R45 000 CTC We are seeking an experienced & highly skilled Senior IT Technician/Firewall Specialist to join our client's technical team. The role focuses on planning, implementing & maintaining secure, scalable IT infrastructures for multiple clients. You will design, configure & maintain Sophos Firewalls, lead IT infrastructure projects, install & manage Windows Servers, ensure backups, patching & security, administer Microsoft 365 & SharePoint, perform email migrations & deliver advanced desktop support both remotely & onsite. You will manage networking including VLANs, routing, switching & Wi-Fi, deploy cloud solutions with Azure, oversee RMM/Patch Management tools, support endpoint security (ESET) & VoIP/PABX systems, document environments & provide mentorship to junior technicians. Minimum requirements: 5+ years managing & leading IT teams, hands-on firewall configuration (Sophos), Windows Server installation & troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 Admin & SharePoint management, email migrations, plus 10+ years desktop support (onsite & remote) & strong network configuration experience. Proven ability to plan & lead IT infrastructure projects. Advanced experience with Azure architecture, cloud-hosted servers, backups & patch management. Security experience with ESET & VoIP systems required. Other essentials: Own reliable vehicle & valid driver's licence, strong communication & presentation skills, ability to work independently & manage projects.
