Senior It Security Specialist
Job Description
The core mission is to be the senior technical guardian of the organization's security posture. You will be responsible for the hands-on design, deployment, and maintenance of the advanced security controls that defend against internal and external threats.
This is not a policy-writing role; it's for a hands-on engineer who thrives on configuring, managing, and optimizing cutting-edge security technologies. Your impact will be measured by your ability to improve the organization's overall security posture, reduce its attack surface, and ensure the integrity of its brand through technical excellence.
Profile for Success:
- Demonstrated track record of hands-on design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-grade security controls.
- Advanced, practical knowledge of a modern security stack, specifically including technologies like Darktrace, Fortinet Firewalls, Zscaler, and Crowdstrike.
- Proven experience running a vulnerability management program, including performing scans, interpreting results, and driving remediation efforts.
- Experience acting as a senior escalation point for security incident response and third-line support.
- Minimum of 6 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in information and technology security.
- Mandatory: COBIT certification or demonstrable deep experience.
- Mandatory: At least one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISCO Certified, Fortinet Certified, or CISSP.
- An IT-related Bachelor's Degree or Diploma.
