We are currently building our team and now searching for

Senior IT Infrastructure & Data Migration Specialist

(m/f/d) - 100% Remote

Your Mission:

We are looking for a versatile and senior-level IT professional to take ownership of our server infrastructure while also leading IT data migration and infrastructure projects. This role requires both technical hands-on expertise in Linux systems and Hyper-V environments, and project leadership skills to guide migration teams, ensure project compliance and deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.

Your daily tasks:

Server & Infrastructure Management

Administer and maintain

Linux servers

with a focus on performance, security, and uptime. Manage

system configuration, updates, and patching

across environments. Hands-on management of

Hyper-V virtualization

and experience with

PowerShell and Azure

. Implement and maintain

security protocols

(e.g., firewalls, IDS, access control). Set up and validate

server backup routines

and

disaster recovery plans

. Create and maintain detailed documentation for server configurations and operations. Develop

automation scripts/tools

to streamline server and system tasks.

IT Data Migration & Project Leadership

Lead and execute

data migration projects

between IT systems, applications, and platforms. Collaborate with

Project Managers

to define goals, timelines, and delivery standards. Use

Quest ODM

to manage migrations, directory synchronization, and user provisioning. Ensure data consistency, integrity, and compliance during and after migration. Lead progress meetings, manage risk, and provide clear stakeholder updates. Align infrastructure setup with migration roadmaps (networking, accounts, permissions).

What we are looking for:

7+ years

of experience in

Linux system administration

and infrastructure support. Proven experience with

Hyper-V

,

PowerShell

, and

Azure environments

.

Hands-on expertise with Quest ODM

and similar migration tools (required). Strong understanding of

data protection

,

compliance

, and

disaster recovery

. Track record of

leading cross-functional migration projects

end-to-end. Languages with

IT automation

(e.g., Bash, Python, or Ansible). Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
