Job Description

As a Senior IT Engineer at our leading IT Managed Service Provider, you will play a vital role in delivering advanced technical solutions and support to our diverse client base. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while ensuring our clients receive top-tier expertise in server infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. You will work closely with a dynamic team, contribute to project delivery, and act as a technical escalation point for complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute Hyper-V server installations, upgrades, and maintenance across client environments.

Manage and optimise Azure cloud services, including deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Plan and deliver Microsoft 365 migrations, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption for clients.

Diagnose and resolve advanced technical problems related to networks, servers, VoIP systems and cloud platforms.

Collaborate with project teams to design, implement, and document IT solutions tailored to client needs.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, security standards, and emerging technologies.

Required and Desirable Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT engineering, ideally within a managed service provider environment.

Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified, e.g.,

MS-102

,

AZ-104

,

SC-200

,

MCSA/MCSE

, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent are highly desirable.

Essential Technical Competencies

Expertise in Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) installation, configuration, and troubleshooting with added emphasis on Hyper-V.

In-depth knowledge of Azure platform management, including virtual machines, networking, and security.

Proven experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, tools, administration, and support.

Familiarity with MS Teams Voice.

Strong grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).

Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Intune/Endpoint Manager

Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (EDR)

Microsoft Hyper-V

Backup and DR solutions

Excellent understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
