Duties:

• Lead comprehensive cybersecurity audits to assess the effectiveness of security controls and processes.
• Identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential threats to our digital infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security improvement plans.
• Evaluate compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Communicate audit findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
• Cyber Security auditing and the Centre of Internet Security (CIS) and NIST control frameworks
• IT Auditing
• SOX IT General Controls testing with extensive knowledge of Active Directory

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM are preferred.

Experience:

• 5 Years experience in IT auditing with a strong focus on security.
• Auditing IT infrastructure and applications
• General awareness of fraud indicators
• Awareness of IT Governance frameworks
• Basic risk management awareness
• Experience in the mining industry would be a notable advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Risk assessment ability.
• Internal audit experience.
• Communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Security testing experience.
• IT security and infrastructure knowledge.
• Knowledge of operating system platforms.
• Report writing skills
