Job Summary Inbound Destination Management Company based in Cape Town ; offering unique & customised tours for individual & group travellers wanting to explore beautiful Africa is looking for a Senior / Intermediate Travel Designer. The suitable candidate will curate bespoke, high-end and complex travel itineraries ; focusing on luxury; safari and niche destinations. You will handle end-to-end booking ; including tailored proposals ; costing and client relationship management. Duties: Create detailed, personalized, and cost-effective travel itineraries for high-end clientele. Manage the entire booking process from initial enquiry and quotation to finalizing documentation and post-travel follow-up. Liaise with lodges, hotels, and destination management companies to confirm availability and negotiate rates. Drive sales growth, ensuring itineraries maintain required gross profit margins. Ensure accuracy in travel documents, including flights, transfers, and accommodation, while handling last-minute amendments. Maintain expert knowledge of specific destinations and product offerings. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal travel & tourism qualification At least 3-5 years in inbound travel, ideally with a DMC or luxury tour operator. Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in booking systems and itinerary software (Tourplan I Wetu). Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with both agents and direct clients. Proactively resolving booking issues and handling logistical challenges. Prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines under pressure. In-depth knowledge of specific regions, such as Southern and East Africa.
