Job Description

Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Senior Handyman- Plumbing who will beresponsible for performing and supervising a wide range of handyman tasks, not limited to plumbing, to ensure the effective delivery of workplace services in line with the Master Service Agreement. This includes carrying out and overseeing planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and remedial works across plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and general building functions. The role requires proactive supervision of the handyman team, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard while supporting Huawei's operational objectives, including after-hours emergency response.

Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Delivery:

• Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all building-related issues including plumbing, electrical, lighting, carpentry, HVAC, painting, furniture, fittings, fixtures, and other equipment.
• Perform and supervise planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and remedial works across building systems, interior/exterior fabric, light machinery, and fittings.
• Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, woodwork, metalwork, and general building functions.
• Conduct documented inspections and ensure compliance with OHS Act requirements and company safety standards.
• Supervise, escort, and oversee sub-contractors, ensuring that all work is delivered to standard and work areas are left clean and tidy with waste removed.
• Lead, coordinate, and support the handyman team to ensure safe and competent delivery of all tasks.
• Ensure all jobs are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standard.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workshop and ensure work areas are cleaned after completion of tasks.
• Ensure tools are properly maintained, cared for, and kept in good working condition.
• Ensure all work is logged accurately on Onkey and that Work Orders are completed before submission to the Maintenance Manager.
• Proactively log maintenance issues with the TFS Helpdesk and report on activities as required.
• Carry out additional duties and provide support as instructed by the Technical Manager.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when required.

Service Delivery Management:

• Ensuring performance requirements are met (SLA's and performance management)
• Maintain an accurate record of all maintenance documentation, warranties, licences

Customer Focus:

• Work with teams to develop and maintain a customer-focused attitude toward activities
• Interact with clients to provide and process information in response to enquiries, concerns and requests about services
• Work with processes and procedures in such a way that operational efficiencies and performance are enhanced
• Attend to and resolve all client queries timeously or escalate when necessary
• Follow up and follow through on all escalated queries timeously
• Manage conflict

Reporting:

• Prepare weekly/monthly reporting within set timeframes for submission to your Manager as requested
• Update and maintain all relevant records

Qualifications

• Matric
• NQF Level 4 minimum Trade Tested and Certified Plumber
• Registered with Industry Registration Board (PIRB).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar environment
• Aircons, Plumbing and building maintenance
• Team Leadership and management
