Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Senior Handyman- Gas who will be responsible for responsible for performing and supervising a wide range of handyman tasks, not limited to gas-related works, to ensure the effective delivery of workplace services in line with the Master Service Agreement. This includes carrying out and overseeing planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and remedial works across gas kitchen installations, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and general building functions. Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Delivery:
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all building-related issues including plumbing, electrical, lighting, carpentry, HVAC, painting, furniture, fittings, fixtures, gas and other equipment, installing, maintaining, and repairing kitchen gas appliances. Experience with gas safety testing, leak detection.
Perform and supervise planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and remedial works across building systems, interior/exterior fabric, light machinery, and fittings.
Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, metalwork, and general building functions.
Conduct documented inspections and ensure compliance with OHS Act requirements and company safety standards.
Supervise, escort, and oversee sub-contractors, ensuring that all work is delivered to standard and work areas are left clean and tidy with waste removed.
Lead, coordinate, and support the handyman team to ensure safe and competent delivery of all tasks.
Ensure all jobs are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standard.
Maintain a clean and orderly workshop and ensure work areas are cleaned after completion of tasks.
Ensure tools are properly maintained, cared for, and kept in good working condition.
Ensure all work is logged accurately on Onkey and that Work Orders are completed before submission to the Maintenance Manager.
Proactively log maintenance issues with the TFS Helpdesk and report on activities as required.
Carry out additional duties and provide support as instructed by the Technical Manager or Senior Management.
Service Delivery Management:

+ Maintain an accurate record of all maintenance documentation, warranties, licences

Reporting:
Prepare weekly/monthly reporting within set timeframes for submission to your Manager as requested

Skills and Competencies
Knowledge of equipment, materials and suppliers used in facilities management.

Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent (advantageous but not always compulsory).
Relevant Trade Certificate (e.g. Plumbing, Fitting, or related trade - not compulsory but preferred).
LPGSA Accreditation - Must be a registered LP Gas Installer with the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Safety Association of Southern Africa (LPGSA).
Certified according to the South African National Standards (SANS 10087 series) for gas installations.
Must be registered with the South African Qualification & Certification Committee for Gas (SAQCC Gas) as an authorised gas practitioner.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar environment
Electrical, Aircons, Plumbing, Gas and Building Maintenance
Team Leadership and management
Practical experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing kitchen gas appliances (stoves, ovens, fryers, grills, extraction systems).
Knowledge of ventilation and extraction requirements for commercial kitchens.
