Senior Fund Accountant

in

Cape Town

Senior Fund Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities:

Adhere to office policies and utilize the systems. Build relationships with peers and participate in the mentorship program. Collaborate with mentors to create a development plan. Train and support colleagues, fostering a supportive work environment. Ask questions and take detailed notes. Gain an understanding of venture capital/private equity and client structures. Familiarize yourself with client LPAs for fund administration. Handle cash/banking operations effectively. Manage investor relations/CRM tasks. Navigate data organization and meet client deliverables. Calculate capital call and distribution allocations accurately. Prepare notices using the relevant system and reconcile wires. Book GL entries and prepare financial statements. Calculate fund performance metrics and manage management fee calculations. Utilize technology for reporting and onboarding clients. Assist with tax forms and information gathering. Support audit confirmations and provide documentation.

Requirements:

Qualified Professional Accountant (SA) or AGA (SA) 2 - 4 years of post-article experience Alternatively, the candidate may have 2+ years of experience in a Fund Management capacity.
