Job Description
BOILERSHOP FOREMAN
- Minimum N6 in a mechanical field
- Recognized trade test in Fitting/Fitting & Turning
- John Thompson boiler attendant certificate would be advantageous.
- 5 years in supervisory position
- 5 years fitting experience in heavy machinery. Coal fired boilers,
- 500Cfm to 1000Cfm compressors, Centrifugal and piston type water pumps.
- Preferred experience in a charge hand or foreman position
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical drives, gearboxes,
- hydraulics, pneumatics, water and steam reticulation
- Ability to work accurately, neatly, and efficiently
- Ability to carry out fabrication work, (Welding, grinding, and cutting)
- Good communication skills with management and fellow employees
