Senior Financial Accountant (fixed Term Contract)
Job Description
A completed B.Com Degree is essential (a B.Com (Hons) is advantageous, coupled with 5 years relevant Accounting experience in commerce. KPI's include : monthly duties including the guiding of Branch Co-ordinators on the correct allocation of monthly expenses and payments; perform variance analysis at month-end on the monthly income statement; authorize bank payments on banking system; assist foreign Branch Co-ordinators with the month-end process; perform Balance Sheet and intercompany account reconciliations; raise forex adjustment journals for foreign intercompany accounts; check and perform bank reconciliations; deal with any accounting issues at the branches; process / check month-end and ad hoc journals; assist the FM in the preparation of the monthly management accounts; handle forex payment requests; maintenance of the fixed assets register; VAT/PAYE/ WHT; provisional tax; debtors; creditors; forecast and budgeting process and assist with the external audit process.
