Job Description

To analyze and manage the International Financial and Trade Bulk chemicals activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to the International Finance, Trade Bulk Chemicals Finance and Senior Management team, to inform sound business decisions and meet company objectives.
Qualifications

• B. Com Honours with articles
• CA (SA)

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a financial management role.
• At least 5 years' people management experience
• Previous International Finance experience advantageous
• Previous Finance experience in the Trade Bulk Chemicals sector would advantageous
• In-depth knowledge of financial principles and processes (IFRS, Tax Regulations and other applicable legislation)
• Good understanding of relevant legislation
• Good understanding of core business principles and processes

• Manage all International and Trade Bulk Chemicals Finance Functions
• Provide relevant and reliable Financial information to the Agriculture senior management team.
• To manage the financial aspects of the business to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
• To attain financial objectives through effective people management.
• To manage effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure business continuity.
• Monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and yearly. This will include flash, Management accounts, cashflow forecast etc.
• Delivery and presentation of Trade Bulk chemicals, Africa and International Management Accounts, budgets, tax packs, year end packs
• MD report, cheat sheets, presentations- submission of deliverables to Agri Exco & Group
• NWC as % of revenue -Expenses as % of revenue -Internal control environment (controls in place)
• Quarterly Forecasts- Communicate on significant impacts.
• Collaboration with in-country teams to improve profitability, stop leakage in business units, internal control environment and compliance
• Full budget process

• External and Internal Audit process
• Daily supervision of staff
• Review relevant countries balance sheet reconciliations and engage with finance teams to understand reconciliations items and resolve any variances in a timely manner
• Manage financial year ends and liaise with all countries auditors to ensure process is complete per deadlines set and all audit matters are resolved
• Review annual audit packs

• Knowledge of JSE listing companies (advantageous)
• In-depth knowledge of financial principals and processes
• Good understanding of relevant legislation
• Good knowledge of supply chain principles and practices
• Demonstrated deep understanding of the financial aspects of the business, including cost control, managing cashflows, preparation of business plans, statutory reporting and internal controls
• An understanding of good governance and ethics.

• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
• Microsoft AX experience is advantageous
