The team you would Join:
Sun King's Finance team supports the distribution partnerships (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (B2C) sales channels as well as the financial operations of the company overall. The in-country finance team works closely with the respective Operations, Sales, and HR teams to support critical finance related activities in the region and collaboratively with the global Finance team based in more than seven countries.

The Finance team plays a critical role in managing revenue and accounting for the company's pay-as-you-go (PAYG) direct solar financing and wholesale distribution businesses; in ensuring compliance with local tax and reporting regulations; and in reporting to investors and servicing the company's financing and debt obligations.

About the role:
Sun King is looking for a Senior Finance Associate to join its Finance team. The Senior Finance Associate will work closely with the Finance team to ensure the organisation has adequate human capacity to cater for the financial books and record (account payables and receivables) in the region.

What you would be expected to do:

• Receive and process all Purchase Orders, Invoices, Expense Forms, and request for payments.
• Reconciliation of processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of Bank accounts.
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by thoroughly reviewing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Maintaining filing systems of all accounting and finance documents and vouchers to ensure ease of retrieval and reference.
• Scheduling and preparing payments on the payment tracker.
• Maintain fixed assets register, and prepayment schedule
• Reconciliation and adjustment of accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions and subsequent matching of the same.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Conduct reimbursements for staff expenses, verifying documentation.
• Assist in the processing & filing of VAT Returns as well as Reconciliation of the same.
• Accomplish accounting and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.

You might be a strong candidate if you:

• Hold a Degree in Finance, Accounting or any related field. ACA/ACCA or relevant qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Possess at least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Finance and Accounting roles.
• Can clearly and straight to the point communicate fluently in both written and spoken English and other local languages
• Have strong computer skills - MS Excel skill is mandatory
• Possess a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Can demonstrate sound judgment and excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills.
