Overview

We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Senior Finance Accountant

to join our finance operations team. This is a hands-on position responsible for the day-to-day accounting cycle, reconciliations, VAT compliance, and payment processes -- while also mentoring junior staff and improving finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage general ledger, journal entries, prepayments, and accruals Perform monthly reconciliations (debtors, creditors, intercompany, VAT) Oversee cross-border payment processes, ensuring regulatory compliance Lead month-end close and trial balance preparation Review debtor and creditor ageing reports and resolve discrepancies Supervise and support up to three junior team members Troubleshoot ERP queries and support continuous process improvement

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications: CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or part-qualified (actively studying) Experience: 3-5 years in financial accounting roles Leadership: At least 1 year mentoring or supervising others Skills: Advanced Excel, ERP experience, VAT knowledge Bonus: Exposure to cross-border payments or multinational environments

SALARY IS MARKET RELATED AND COMMENSURATE BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: R30000,00 - R50000,00 per month
