Qualifications:

• Minimum: National Diploma in Electronics/Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering.
• Preferred: Degree in electronics/Instrumentation/electrical engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years hands-on experience in automation and electronics engineering maintenance. Preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the tire industry.

Certifications/Training:

• Minimum: Basic and Intermediate training on Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi PLC, HMI & VFD systems.

Language Skills:

• Minimum: English.
• Preferred: Proficient in English.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Reading and modifying electrical/electronic circuit diagrams.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams.
• Ability to design and modify PLC programs, HMI visuals, and VFD Programs.
• Replacement of faulty electronics components.
• Configuration, programming & maintenance of Allen-Bradley & Mitsubishi PLC, VFD, and HMI.
• Working knowledge of GE iFiX SCADA programming.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and planning ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office).

Knowledge:

• Profound knowledge of Allen-Bradley & Mitsubishi automation components.
• Industrial communication network protocols.
• Application knowledge of AC & DC variable speed drives.
• Design knowledge of PLC & VFD control panels (advantage).
• Troubleshooting of motors, relays, contactors, sensors, etc.
• Root cause analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with company ERP system and other systems.
• Standard engineering practices and machinery safety rules.
