Company DescriptionOur client in the IoT industry, is in search of a Senior Electronics Engineer at their offices in Randpark Ridge, Randburg. The Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing and maintaining electrical equipment and systems.The job incumbent may be required to travel occasionally, as well as work overtime.

• Firmware Design and test
• Technical support
• Test and validate circuits for functionality and performance
• Writing test reports, operational documentation, and other technical documents
• Coordinates with manufacturing support personnel to conduct prototype runs for products.
• Communicates with company personnel on projects, priorities, timetables as required.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Keeping accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and customers to identify and solve problems.
• All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, or a related field.
• 5 years' Experience in micro-controller, embedded system & board design
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming skills
• Knowledge in PCB CAD systems like Altium is a plus
• Knowledge in embedded OS, such as FreeRTOS etc, is a plus
• Knowledge in scripting languages is a plus
• Familiar with software life cycles & processes
• Demonstrates good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite (word, PowerPoint, excel and Outlook)
• Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills
• Has good administration and documentation skills
