Key Responsibilities:

Design and specification of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, standby generation, fire detection, and building management systems
Prepare technical reports, tender documentation, and engineering drawings
Perform calculations to support designs, ensuring compliance with local and international standards
Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle
Conduct site inspections and provide input during commissioning and handover phases
Keep up to date with technological advancements and regulatory changes in the electrical engineering field

Requirements:

BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 35 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering or building services
Proficient in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design packages (e.g., Dialux, Amtech)
Knowledge of SANS, IEC, and relevant building codes and regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
