Duties:
Welcoming guests, assisting with seating arrangements, and addressing special requests or concerns.
Recruiting, training, and supervising waitstaff, hosts, and other support personnel to maintain service standards.
Managing the reservation system, confirming bookings, and optimizing table turnover.
Ensuring the dining room is visually appealing, organized, and maintained to high standards of cleanliness.
Liaising with the kitchen to coordinate menu specials, manage orders, and ensure smooth communication between departments.
Handling guest complaints and issues promptly and diplomatically to enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Grade 12
A formal qualification in hospitality management
At least 5+ years' experience in a high end 5* environment
Ability to motivate and guide staff, leading by example in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
Meticulous focus on details to ensure an impeccable guest experience.
A friendly, polite, and accommodating nature to provide exceptional service.
Strong organizational and planning skills to manage resources and staff effectively.
Ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure to resolve issues.
Specialization in areas like wine, culinary arts, or event management is possible.
