Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in distribution planning, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in team management with the ability to lead and motivate effectively.
• Strong background in data analysis and reporting, with proficiency in Excel or similar tools.
• Exposure to transportation management systems and supply chain optimization.

Position Overview
The Senior Distribution Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing distribution activities. This includes managing operational events, expediting shipments, and leading a small team to ensure smooth and timely delivery processes. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Planning

• Develop and implement efficient and cost-effective distribution plans.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, warehousing, and transportation teams.
• Optimize routes and schedules to reduce costs and improve delivery times.

Expediting Services

• Expedite orders and deliveries to meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve delays or issues.
• Track expedited shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Operational Event Management

• Manage disruptions, emergencies, and unforeseen issues in distribution.
• Implement contingency plans to minimize operational impact.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure resolution.

Team Management

• Lead and support a team of controllers and expeditors.
• Set goals, monitor performance, and conduct reviews.
• Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze distribution data to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Prepare reports on KPIs such as delivery rates, costs, and inventory levels.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior management.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Coordinate with internal departments (production, sales, customer service).
• Build strong relationships with external partners
