iqx the Technology Division of iqbusiness is looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Cape Town. This is a mid to senior-level position, ideal for someone with a strong foundation in DevOps practices and deep, recent hands-on experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Youll work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that supports rapid delivery and high availability.What Were Looking For5+ years of DevOps or SRE experience in production environmentsStrong, recent AWS experience, with deep knowledge of services like EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform, but others considered)Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and pipeline toolsProficient with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, etc.)Strong understanding of system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environmentsStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindsetWhat Youll DoDesign, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructureBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormationDevelop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalabilityAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processesEnsure cloud architecture follows security and compliance best practicesTroubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environmentsCollaborate with developers to streamline code deployment and operational workflowsPlease Note:
