What will you do?

This role is accountable for rendering data and analytics-based support within MWL to enhance operational effectiveness/innovation, enable better sales and solve business problems. Key responsibilities are:
xe2xa6x81 Manage the leads pipeline
xe2xa6x81 Render technical support with selected investigations and data analytics
xe2xa6x81 Provide input into business plans/projects
xe2xa6x81 Provide data/analytics support and solutions
xe2xa6x81 Manage client profiles and segmentations
xe2xa6x81 Ensure data governance and integrity
xe2xa6x81 Stakeholder management
xe2xa6x81 People management

. What will make you successful in this role?

Qualification & experience:
xe2xa6x81 Related qualification in data science/quantitative analysis preferable (maths and statistics)
xe2xa6x81 Relevant accreditations in tools, applications (i.e.: Python, R, SQL, etc)
xe2xa6x81 Management diploma (preferable)
xe2xa6x81 3-5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience within a data analytics environment

Knowledge and skills:
IT:
xe2xa6x81 MS: Excel, Word, PP, Outlook, Access
xe2xa6x81 Pandas (Python), R
xe2xa6x81 Standard Data storage reading/writing: SQL, flat files including CSV
xe2xa6x81 GLM and Machine learning techniques
xe2xa6x81 BI and Big Data tools would be an advantage: Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Data streaming

Business:
xe2xa6x81 Sound financial services industry knowledge
xe2xa6x81 A business operating model and strategy
xe2xa6x81 Digital and alternative distribution operations (including call centres)
xe2xa6x81 Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge
