Senior Data Engineer
Job Description
A company that is dedicated to solving African problems by leveraging data-driven insights is seeking a Senior Data Engineer. Please note that this role has a hybrid working model.
Skills Required
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer in a data-intensive environment.
Deep, hands-on expertise with the Databricks platform. This is non-negotiable.
Strong programming skills in Python and extensive experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with complex query optimization.
Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data modelling, and modern data architecture (e.g., Lakehouse)
Experience working in an agile or sprint-based development environment.
