Senior Data Engineer

Job Description
A Cash management solutions client, in the heart of Northern Johannesburg, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team. With your Degree in computer science and 5 years' experience in a similar role, you will join the software dev team in order to manage the master data sets, develop reports and troubleshoot all data issues.
Qualifications:
- Matric essential
- Degree in Computer Science, Stats, Informatics, IS or quantitative field
- 5+ years' experience in a Data Engineer role
- Advanced SQL Knowledge
- Big data experience
- Root cause analysis experience
- SQL and NoSQL Experience
- Data pipeline tools such as Airflow
- Experience with stream-processing systems
- Experience with object orientated languages such as Python
- Build big data pipelines, architectures and data sets
- Build processes supporting data transformation
- Manipulate, process and extract value from large data sets
- Analyze tools
- Identify risks
- Manage master data
- Managing users
- Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets
- Create data pipeline architecture
