Position Overview:

As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the routine day-to-day accounting and administration of various corporate entities and trusts, acting as Special Purpose Vehicles within fund structures. Under the guidance of a Financial Reporting Manager, you will be a key player in supporting the financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all aspects of the accounting for corporate entities and trusts, including bookkeeping, interim and annual accounts preparation, ad hoc reporting, and client liaison.
  • Manage routine audit queries.
  • Assist with company secretarial matters, including the preparation of filings for Companies House and other regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to the training and development of Trainee Accountants and Corporate Accountants.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with clients.
  • Undertake routine office and clerical tasks when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate client records within Viewpoint and other company systems.
Requirements

Skills, Knowledge, Expertise:
  • 3 years of relevant experience in fund administration or financial services, with consideration for transferrable skills from other industries.
  • Qualified in a relevant professional qualification (SAICA qualified / ACCA or ACA Advanced level).
  • Familiarity with the local regulatory framework.
  • Sound technical financial services knowledge.
  • Essential computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients, and business contacts.
