-Come and join this highly motivated team as a Senior Control Systems Technician at Mogalakwena Complex. You will be responsible for providing dedicated technical and operational systems support, as well as ensuring that all systems are maintained and optimized.

-As part of this team, you will be expected to successfully manage these duties:

• Management of the equipment within the process control domain
• Best practice for instrumentation developed within relevant legal and safety frameworks.
• Audit high risk and safety critical areas
• Identify areas of poor availability
• Conducting modifications to the control solution for process problems
• System troubleshooting and hardware problems resolution.
• Support on existing instrumentation, networks, and hardware
• Calibration and maintenance of all equipment within the control solution
• Schedule and priorities maintenance tasks.
• Control monthly maintenance budgets for process control section.
• Assist with commissioning for on-site projects.

This position is in the Operations Department at a Band 7 (D1) level, reporting to the Instrumentation Engineer

Qualifications
-To join this team, you will have the following qualifications:

• National Technical xe2x80x98Nxe2x80x99Diploma or NQF Level 5 equivalent / National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Process Instrumentation) or NQF 6
• Recognized Mechanician Trade Test Certificate together with National N Diploma
• Relevant control systems certification from an OEM
• Registered as a Professional Engineering Technician with ECSA xe2x80x93 advantageous.
• MCSE/MCSD Information Technology certification will be advantageous.

To be successful in this role, your experience will include but not limited to:

• Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant post qualification experience in a Mineral/Metallurgical Processing Environment
• Advanced knowledge in fault finding and troubleshooting in instrumentation.
• Experience in Siemens PLCxe2x80x99s
• Knowledge in ABB Robotics
• Competent Radiation Protection Officer will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Siemens Step 7 programming, SCADA Systems (WinCC), Prepmaster xe2x80x93 added adv, Profibus DP and PA network diagnostics, Profinet & Ethernet, Historian database e.g. PI
• Experience in Process Instrumentation in a Mineral/Metallurgical Processing Environment
• Critical spares management
• Good understanding of applicable laws, standards, and specifications
• Must be prepared to work at heights and in confirmed spaces if required.

• Must be prepared to work overtime and do standby duties when required.
• Advanced computer literacy
• Valid Driverxe2x80x99s license with your own transport xe2x80x93 essential
• Must be in possession or able to obtain a Medical Certificate of Fitness
