This is a contract opportunity with a specialist in the design and construction of advanced minerals processing facilities. Renowned for delivering large-scale, technically challenging projects, they blend engineering excellence with innovation to serve clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Create high-quality 2D and 3D engineering drawings for heavy fabrication projects.
Convert conceptual designs into detailed assemblies, components, and fabrication drawings.
Work closely with project engineers to ensure designs align with technical specifications.
Liaise with suppliers and contractors to verify design feasibility and manufacturability.
Review and update drawings based on feedback and evolving project requirements.
Ensure compliance with internal drafting standards and industry regulations.
Support project teams with technical documentation and design modifications.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or a related discipline.
Around 10 years' experience in draughting for minerals processing, heavy fabrication, or industrial plant projects.
Proficiency in Inventor, with strong skills in 2D and 3D modelling.
Solid understanding of heavy fabrication techniques, materials, and processes.
Familiarity with design standards and best practices for minerals processing plants and the Mining Industry.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

R50 000 - R60 000 CTC per month (dependent on experience).
