As our Senior Content Writer, you'll be more than a wordsmith; you'll be a wilderness guide for our audience. Your mission is to craft compelling, transformative stories that connect our guests to Africa on a profound and emotional level. You will shape our brand voice, ensuring every word reflects our deep commitment to ethical tourism, conservation, and the preservation of Africa's people and wild spaces. This is a role for a storyteller who wants to be a force for good, using their craft to inspire and turn readers into custodians of our magnificent continent.

What You'll Do:

Brand Guardianship: Maintain a single, coherent, and distinct Rhino Africa brand voice across all published platforms, ensuring all content aligns with our business strategy and core marketing objectives. Compelling Content Creation: Produce highly engaging, accurate, and insightful original written content for key channels, including website pages, email campaigns, and major publications. You will also integrate new AI-driven content tools to enhance the efficiency and scalability of content creation. Creative Collaboration: Make a proactive and valuable contribution to the creative conceptualisation of marketing campaigns and skilfully adjust content structure and tone for diverse formats, from long-form guides to social media snippets. Team Mentorship: Provide high-quality, impactful, and constructive feedback and guidance to Rhino Africa's other content writers to foster their professional growth and writing skills. Process Optimisation: Ensure collaborative efforts with the CRM Specialist, Social Media Specialist, and other writers are represented throughout the content creation process, continually reviewing and streamlining workflows to maximise efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Language, Literature, Communications, or a similar field. 3-5 years of proven experience in a senior content writing or editorial role, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional storytelling abilities. An exceptional command of the English language, with outstanding copy editing and copywriting skills. Demonstrable experience mentoring or guiding other writers to foster their professional growth. Expertise in SEO/GEO optimisation best practices and experience with AI-driven content tools. A creative, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven individual with a genuine passion for Africa and responsible tourism.
