ROCKBlue is a nonprofit organization that partners with water and sanitation utilities in low- and middle-income countries to improve operational and financial performance. Through long-term technical support and strategic partnerships, we help expand access to safe, affordable water and sanitation for underserved communities around the world.

Position

We're looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to join our team on a volunteer, pro bono basis. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced marketing professional who wants to contribute their skills to a global mission. You'll lead content strategy and development to help drive fundraising, partner engagement, and brand visibility.

We're flexible on structure and welcome applicants interested in either project-based work or an ongoing weekly commitment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of content marketing strategies aligned with fundraising and outreach goals Write or guide strategic briefs and campaign plans Create compelling copy for donor materials, web, email, and social platforms Oversee content production planning and timelines, coordinating with internal stakeholders. Manage content calendar Manage content via our WordPress CMS Contribute to content for: Brochures, one-pagers, and datasheets Blog posts and donor-facing communications Website and social media Video content strategy and messaging (not video production)

Requirements and Qualifications

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Canva or other basic design tools to support visual formatting Basic video editing

What We're Looking For

Significant experience in content marketing, communications, or editorial roles Strong writing and storytelling skills, particularly for mission-driven or nonprofit audiences Ability to independently manage strategy and execution, with minimal oversight Project management skills and a collaborative mindset Passion for social impact, global development, and clear, engaging communication.

Time Commitment

? Ability to dedicate approximately 4-6 hours per week, virtually, starting immediately

Remuneration

? This is a volunteer, pro bono role, best suited for a professional with mid- to senior-level experience. Paid opportunities may become available later in the year based on funding and organizational needs.
