The Role:

Shad Holdings requires a highly experienced

Senior Construction Site Agent / Manager

to take full charge of a major turnkey refurbishment project. This role is crucial for ensuring the project is executed safely, on budget, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. You will be the on-site leader, directly managing all sub-contractors, site personnel, logistics, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution:

Oversee and manage all phases of construction for the refurbishment and upgrading project from site establishment to final handover.

Health and Safety:

Ensure strict compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and all client safety regulations; act as the lead Appointed Site Manager for safety.

Quality Control:

Implement and maintain a rigorous quality management plan, inspecting and approving all workmanship to ensure compliance with design specifications and relevant SANS standards.

Resource Management:

Coordinate the daily activities of sub-contractors, suppliers, and site staff, managing plant, materials, and equipment efficiently.

Reporting & Administration:

Maintain daily site records, track progress against the project schedule, manage variation orders, and submit comprehensive progress reports to Head Office and the Principal Agent.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Relevant tertiary qualification in the Built Environment (e.g., BTech/BSc Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or National Diploma in Building).

Experience:

Minimum of

8 years

proven experience as a Site Agent or Construction Manager on large commercial, public, or educational building projects (value exceeding R50 million preferred).

Accreditations:

Strong working knowledge of the CIDB, GCC, and NEC contracts, and the ability to manage a multidisciplinary project scope (Civil, Structural, Architectural, and M&E services).

Pay: R200,00 - R350,00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
