ROLE SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects and will have a strong understanding of the built environment industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and completion.
  • Coordinate site activities and with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that contractors adhere to project plans.
  • Ensure that site instructions are carried out satisfactorily.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, work plans, and quality control procedures.
  • Monitor and assess project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all the regulations, and safety standards.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and company management on project status and performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure that measures are in place to mitigate the identified risks.
  • B. Eng. / Bsc or B. Tech in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Registration or eligibility to register as Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng / Pr CPM (Advantageous).
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Ms Suite (Advantageous).
  • Good and positive attitude.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
