About the Role




We are seeking an energetic, innovative, and customer service driven Senior Claims Consultant to join our Customer Service Department in our Short-term Insurance Division at our Contact Centre in Centurion. As a Senior Claims Consultant, you will be responsible delivering exceptional performance and ensuring business objectives are met through effective and efficient customer service. Your expertise will inspire excellence in customer centricity and enhanced productivity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing insurance claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies, insurer requirements and industry regulations.

Job Outputs:



Adhere to the claims notification and registration process Provide efficient and effective claims support and administration Liaise with insurers to follow up on outstanding documents Handle escalated queries and complaints Assist with on-the-job training where required Ensure adherence to risk and compliance requirements Submit weekly and monthly reports Ensure service levels agreements are met Ensure the retention of policies Provide data to assist in upselling opportunities Maintain detailed records of all claims activities

Qualifications:



National Senior Certificate/ Matric FAIS credits on NQF level 4 or a full FSCA aligned qualification as per legislation is recommended Regulatory exam (RE5) is recommended

Experience:



Minimum 3 years' applicable short term Insurance Customer Service and Claims experience Minimum 12 months Contact Centre experience

Knowledge and Skills:



Multilingual, including English Problem solving skills Empathetic Ability to cope under pressure Communication and negotiation skills Computer literate (MS office including Outlook) Excellent telephone etiquette Analytical People oriented Time Management * Conflict handling skills
