Senior Catering Manager - Healthcare | Constantiaberg, Cape Town
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Hospital Catering Manager / Project Manager to lead catering operations within a busy healthcare facility in Constantiaberg.
This role requires a seasoned catering leader with proven healthcare experience, strong financial acumen, and the ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams in a sensitive hospital environment.
Description
- Manage daily operations in line with contract, sector strategy, and statutory regulations
- Oversee full food production processes and ensure consistent service delivery
- Drive Food GP and manage unit budgets to meet financial targets
- Menu planning, costing, standardisation, and recipe compliance
- Ensure effective stock control and Electronic Meal Ordering System functionality
- Maintain daily HSE compliance and documentation
- Full people management: workforce planning, payroll, leave, performance management
- Manage both kitchen teams and ward-based teams
- Enhance customer experience through surveys and continuous improvement
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality / F&B / Culinary Arts (Compulsory)
- MUST have healthcare catering experience
- Minimum 5 years in a similar catering management role
- Experience managing 50+ staff complement
- Strong financial management & budgeting experience
- Clear criminal record
- Based in or near the Constantiaberg area
