Senior Category Manager

Job Description
- Lead strategy development, commercial opportunity identification, and drive cost savings on Engineering, logistics and plant services.
- Execution of Engineering, logistics, plant services and ED sourcing, the management of ongoing supply and monitoring of suppliers.
- Adhering to internal authorisation mandates.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate payment terms and manage associated logistical requirements.
- Update of pricing and contracts in Maximo.
- Monthly compilation of reports, preparation and submission of dashboards.
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Purchasing / Supply Chain / Commerce/ Engineering.
- At least 7 to 10 years in Procurement, plant engineering or Commercial role.
- Specific contract negotiation experience and contract formulation / drafting experience.
- High energy levels to engage potential suppliers and to develop plant relationships.
- Strategic negotiating ability/skills that can be substantiated / verified.
- Good administrative skills, attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and manage several tasks simultaneously.
- Good people and communication skills, written and oral. (Records of presentations where / what Advantageous.)
- Team player with the ability to influence peers in procurement, manufacturing and logistics areas.
