Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join a dynamic team as a Senior C# Software Engineer. This role will involve designing and developing new service-oriented applications (SOA) in accordance with specifications. Role Highlights:

Purpose Statement:
Design and develop new service-oriented applications (SOA) based on specifications.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in software development, project delivery, and implementation.

Development Languages:

Minimum:

• C# or VB.Net, SQL (T-SQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.), SP.Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web Services, .Net Framework, ML, IS, OO Development Methodologies, understanding of SOA.

Ideal:

• VC or MVVM Design Pattern, PF (Windows Presentation Foundation) & XAML, CF (Windows Communication Foundation), PowerShell, ML.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.

Ideal or Preferred:

• Certification in Systems Analysis or Design.

Knowledge:

Minimum Knowledge:

• Detailed understanding of IT systems development processes (SDLC), application development, banking systems, standards, governance, agile development life cycle, and testing practices.

Ideal Knowledge:

• Familiarity with UML, systems analysis and design, system architecture (technical design and implementation processes).

Solid Understanding of:

• Banking systems environment, banking business model, best practices for Quality Assurance (QA), object-oriented development environment (e.g., Java, Spring Framework, JBoss).

Skills:

• Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Facilitation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong influencing and presentation abilities.
• Attention to detail and commercial thinking.
• Effective planning, organizing, and coordination skills.
• Project management skills (Methodology-specific).
