Job Title: Finance Specialist

Location: Verulam

Employment Type: Full-Time

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Buyer that has arisen at Ten Civils. The Senior Buyer will report to the Finance Director and will have amongst others, the following duties and responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management:

Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing processes for key/critical commodities, including supplier selection Conduct rigorous price analysis and market benchmarking; negotiate contracts to achieve optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) and annual cost-saving targets. Drive product and raw material standardisation and rationalization projects to reduce complexity and leverage spending. Collaborate with the Import Buyer to optimize freight costs and Incoterms, ensuring the most efficient supply chain routing.

Supplier Relationship & Performance Management:

Develop and implement a supplier evaluation scorecard; conduct regular business reviews and site visits to ensure performance aligns with quality, delivery, and strategic objectives. Proactively manage supplier relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for commercial and performance issues (quality, delivery). Lead supplier development initiatives to drive continuous improvement in line with TC's strategic goals. Draft, negotiate, and manage Supplier Agreements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Operational Procurement & Issue Resolution:

Manage the entire purchase order lifecycle for critical commodities within our internal system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Proactively monitor order status and supply chain risks; provide advance alert of delays and execute expediting plans to mitigate disruption. Resolve discrepancies, coordinating with Stakeholders and suppliers

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality and Operations to align procurement activities with business needs. Prepare and present reports on supplier performance, delivery status, and project savings to management.

General:

Perform ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by the Finance Director
