Senior Bookkeeper (Fleet/Logistics Industry)
Location: Sandton
Salary: R25 000 R30 000 Negotiable
One of our large fleet management clients based in Sandton is urgently in need of a Trustworthy Senior Bookkeeper, to start as soon as possible.
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping operations, and ensuring the smooth running of financial processes through to the balance sheet stage. This role requires excellent problem-solving and finance skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong commitment to adhering to company procedures. The Senior Bookkeeper must be trustworthy, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Mathematical Literacy
• A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, or similar) or equivalent work experience
• 5-10 Years Experience
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage), Excel, and general office software
• Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve financial discrepancies and issues
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail when processing transactions and preparing reports
• Own transport

• Complete Bookkeeping Duties: Maintain financial records, process transactions, and reconcile accounts up to the balance sheet
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with company procedures
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet business needs
• Problem Solving: Address discrepancies, identify solutions, and resolve accounting issues promptly and effectively
• Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure seamless communication and process integration
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies
• Audit Preparation: Assist with audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and financial statements are accurate and accessible
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
