Our client, a multinational machine manufacturing powerhouse, is looking for a detail-driven Accountant to join their tight-knit South African team based in JHB East. With global operations and local warmth, this company is all about precision, passion, and people and they're looking for someone who's in it for the long haul (yes, even until retirement!)
Duties Will Include (But Are Not Limited to):

• Maintain financial records up to balance sheet
• General ledger maintenance
• Accounts receivable and payable processing and reconciliations
• Bank and payment preparation and reconciliations
• Foreign exchange transactions
• Credit card statements and expense claim reconciliations
• Process monthly journals and adjustments
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Quotations, orders and invoices
• Stock preparation and distribution, and plan and oversee stock takes

Education Requirements:

• Completed Matric (Grade 12)
• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance

Job Requirements and Skills:

• 15+ years' experience in an accounting position essential
• Sage or Pastel Evolution knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of foreign transactions
• Proficient in MS packages
• Deadline driven
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
• Team player
