Senior Bookkeeper (accountant)

Job Description
Duties Will Include (But Are Not Limited to):
- Maintain financial records up to balance sheet
- General ledger maintenance
- Accounts receivable and payable processing and reconciliations
- Bank and payment preparation and reconciliations
- Foreign exchange transactions
- Credit card statements and expense claim reconciliations
- Process monthly journals and adjustments
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
- Quotations, orders and invoices
- Stock preparation and distribution, and plan and oversee stock takes
- Completed Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
- 15+ years' experience in an accounting position essential
- Sage or Pastel Evolution knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of foreign transactions
- Proficient in MS packages
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
- Team player
- A solid accounting background and a love for accuracy
- Top-notch communication skills. You're as comfortable with Excel as you are with emails to Europe
