Job Purpose:

To assist in preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks while providing excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, and more. Create and serve delicious smoothies and other specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee and preparation areas, ensuring hygiene standards are met. Monitor stock levels, perform stock takes, and assist in ordering supplies when needed. Greet customers with a friendly and approachable attitude, taking orders and ensuring customer satisfaction. Operate and maintain coffee machines and other equipment. Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as serving pastries or other light menu items. Handle cash and card transactions accurately. Work collaboratively with team members to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Adhere to health and safety standards at all times. Be proactive in identifying and addressing any operational or customer service issues. Support other general duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements:

Matric Certificate (preferred). At least 5 years of barista experience. A passion for coffee, customer service, and creating positive experiences for customers. Outgoing, fun personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and take initiative when needed. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods. Willing to travel to Brooklyn Cape Town, 7am - 4pm - Monday to Friday.
