Senior Parts Sourcing Specialist

to strengthen our procurement, supplier coordination, and stock optimisation operations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a

highly experienced and detail-oriented Parts Sourcing Specialist

who understands the Korean automotive parts industry and can efficiently source Hyundai, Kia, and related brands' components at competitive prices.
This role requires someone who is confident with supplier communication, negotiation, market comparison, and handling complex parts data.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the right parts are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and accurately for our branches and franchise network.

Key Responsibilities

Source Hyundai and Kia automotive parts locally and internationally. Manage communication with suppliers and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms. Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers without compromising quality. Check compatibility of parts using EPC systems (Hyundai/Kia Microcat or similar). Compare market prices and maintain accurate sourcing records. Work closely with branch managers, warehouse teams, and procurement management. Follow up on orders, shipments, and delivery timelines to avoid stock shortages. Conduct thorough quality checks before confirming orders. Maintain an updated supplier list and build long-term working relationships. Assist with urgent sourcing requests and problem-solving for unavailable or discontinued parts.

Minimum Requirements

3 to 5+ years experience

in automotive parts sourcing, procurement, or parts interpretation. Strong knowledge of

Hyundai and Kia parts

, part numbers, and compatibility. Experience using

Microcat / EPC systems

or equivalent. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage high volumes of parts data accurately. Experience working with suppliers in Korea, China, or other international markets is an advantage. Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent lead-time requirements. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

Preferred Attributes

Knowledge of international freight/shipping processes. Experience working in fast-paced automotive retail or distribution environments. Strong problem-solving abilities - able to locate difficult-to-find parts. Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently. Familiarity with South African automotive market conditions.
