To develop financial valuation models to enable clients to make optimal investment decisions and support the team by providing requisite detailed analyses and documentation (PowerPoint presentations; circulars; announcements) for proposals and transactions; thereby assisting the business in revenue generation.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in growing and developing the corporate finance advisory business, covering capital raising, M&A transactions, public-private partnerships, BEE transactions.
Analyse and assess potential deal opportunities, including preparing and presenting proposals to potential clients.
Compile pitchbooks and presentation materials for client and internal meetings.
Perform valuations using technical tools such as DCF, multiples approach, and capitalization of earnings.
Build robust financial models to support transaction analysis.
Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations for client engagements and transaction execution.
Manage key stakeholders, understanding their objectives and tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
Develop alternative deal structures and solutions aligned with stakeholder goals.
Project manage and implement mandates with clients and transactions.
Prepare transaction documentation and liaise with legal, accounting, and other professional advisors.
Support the growth of the investment portfolio by identifying and analysing new investment opportunities.
Mentor and supervise junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
Highly proficient in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of commercial value drivers.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory is advantageous.
Post Graduate Qualification / CA (SA) / CFA / BCom LLB. / BSc. Engineering / Actuarial Science
Minimum Experience Level 3-5 years experience in a corporate finance environment
