WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Fabricate and assemble precision instruments and components in accordance with engineering specifications Utilise a range of manual and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, such as Lathe Milling, Cylindrical, and Surface Grinder Machines Perform repairs, adjustments, and regular preventative maintenance on current Tools and Dies to guarantee optimal performance during the manufacturing processes Analyse detailed engineering drawings and CAD models, utilising knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in manufacturing processes Conduct accurate inspections and measurements utilising Micrometres, Dial Indicators, Calipers, and various other metrology instruments Liaise with Production and Engineering Teams to provide Tooling solutions and support process improvements Ensure precise documentation is upheld concerning the Tooling for Production, Modifications, and Maintenance Departments Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of heat treatment processes related to different types of materials Responsible for driving continuous improvement within the various manufacturing processes equipment Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM. Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to/SHE /Quality /Environmental /Energy WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE


National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification. Toolmaker Trade Test. At least 5-8 years of experience post trade in a manufacturing environment. Certificate in programming of CNC milling machines will be an advantageous. Exhibit expertise in machining, heat treatment processes, and the analysis of drawings and schematics. Demonstrate proficiency in Milling operations and general Lathe Turning operations Proficiency in Cylindrical and Surface Grinding operations. Operation of CNC Machine. Proficiency in Tool, Jigs and Dies Designs. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. A valid Code 8 Drivers License. Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environment.
