Job Description

Responsible for the management of administrative service.
Key Responsibility Areas
Manages, co-ordinates and controls the provision of an administrative service.
Attends section heads meetings.
Liaises with staff, consultants and contractors with regards to tenders and quotations.
Compiling of operating and capital estimates.
Co-ordinates, manages and maintains the eThekwini transport authority staff.
Reports to the manager transport assets and administration.
Approves internal requisitions and recommends the authorisation of invoices and orders.
Identifies and manages the implementation of new administrative control systems.
Co-ordinates training requirements.
Controls the submission of payroll related documents.
Co-ordinates and attends meetings related to staff take-over including staff consultative
meetings.
Arranging service orders/requisitions for eThekwini transport authority.
Scrutinising expenditure.
Undertakes related assignments.
Liaising with the departmental works accounts and take steps to rectify under or over
recoveries.
Co-ordinating departmental tariff rates and arranging for their implementation.
Arrange for full cost accounts, additional accounts and refunds on tariff jobs.
Co-ordinate stock counts, insurance schedules on behalf of the department.
Responsible for the JDE within eThekwini transport authority.

Essential Requirements
Diploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent in the Administration field.
Valid motor vehicle driving license
3 Years relevant experience.
Computer Literacy.

4 Years relevant experience.
