Job Description
A leading, fast-paced and creative company in the on-site retail marketing space is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Sandton, Johannesburg .
The Senior Accountant would play a pivotal role in a well-established, actively growing agency that's helped various brands in over 100,000 retail locations nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping oversight, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
- Manage the relationship with our external accounting provider
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensure collections are made within agreed terms.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll and SARS submissions.
- Support the preparation of monthly management reports and compliance packs.
- Prepare or support annual budgets and liaise with auditors as needed.
- Maintain financial records in Xero and ensure accuracy in all ledgers.
- Some HR/IT/Facilities Oversight
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance as a major
- More than 6 years of experience working in an operational environment preferred
- Experience using Xero Accounting is preferred
- The ideal candidate is someone who would be happy to get hands-on and involved at a transactional level, but experienced enough to contribute meaningfully on a strategic level (Financial Modelling, FP&A, Inventory Management, Internal Controls, Scenario Planning etc.)
- R500 000 - R860 000 CTC /annum
