Senior Accountant - Full-time - Remote - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST

Core Responsibilities

• Own the complete client billing cycle to ensure invoices reflect accurate hours, monthly fees, and contractual terms.
• Partner with HR/People & Compliance to validate contractor rates, billable hours, and adjustments before invoicing.
• Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments, resolving discrepancies, and conducting timely follow-ups on overdue accounts.
• Prepare and execute monthly accounting close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Perform monthly bank, Stripe, ACH, and platform reconciliations while maintaining accurate accounting records in QuickBooks and/or Zoho Books.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial dashboards on revenue, trends, cash flow signals, and AR aging.
• Support tax compliance and audit readiness through clean, well-organized documentation.
• Track financial movements tied to contractors and clients, including billing, fee changes, and commissions.
• Optimize and document accounting workflows to strengthen accuracy and scalability.

Requirements:

• Should hold an Associate Degree.
• Possess 5 years of accounting experience with strong skills in billing.
• Demonstrate experience in reconciliations.
• Show ability to manage AR responsibilities.
• Be experiened in financial reporting.
• Possess advanced experience using QuickBooks Online for journal entries, chart of accounts, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Demonstrate experience with Zoho Books
• Show experience using QuickBooks.
• Possess experience using Xero.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets including Index Match, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and reconciliation logic.
• Possess a strong understanding of accrual accounting
• Demonstrate understanding of revenue recognition.
• Be experienced in managing client billing in service-based or staffing/outsourcing companies.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate impeccable attention to detail
• Show ability to work independently with tight deadlines and fast-changing priorities.
