Senior Accountant

Job Description
The company is flipping the switch on how power is delivered across the continent and with explosive growth in their pipeline, they need serious accounting talent to keep up. The team is expanding, their balance sheet is evolving and their CFO is (politely) screaming for support. That's where you come in. Their hiring 2 Senior Accountants for newly created roles in their Johannesburg North HQ, ready to get stuck into consolidations, currencies, compliance and cashflows. This is real finance work with impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present entity and group management accounts for board reporting
- Oversee cashflow forecasts, treasury and budget support
- Handle monthly journals, reconciliations and invoice processing
- Manage tax compliance, fixed asset capitalisation and SARB regulatory matters
- Review vendor and customer accounts and keep foreign currency consolidations squeaky clean
- BCom in Finance or Accounting
- Bonus points: Postgrad degree or Professional Membership (e.g. SAICA, CIMA, SAIPA)
- Completed articles and 3+ years' post-articles in a commercial environment (essential)
- Solid experience in group consolidations, foreign currencies and cross-border reporting
- MS Excel wizardry
- PowerBI know-how
- CaseWare (nice to have)
- ERP systems like MS Dynamics or similar
- Willingness to travel occasionally (within Gauteng and Southern Africa)
